Hi All. Just to let you know the community committee will be selling ice blocks at the school picnic 17th March Wednesday 630-7. Cash only. We will be outside Room 7 where we normally do it after school. See you then.

We are pleased to let you know that starting from this year all school costs and donations can be
paid via Kindo. This is an online programme that many of you may already be registered for
through your Ezi–Lunch orders.
This will continue to grow and in term 2 will allow for even more options including permission
slips online.

School Picnic this Wednesday 19 Feb

School Picnic - Wednesday 19th February 5.00pm - 7.00pm.

This is a great opportunity to meet your child’s teacher, have a look around the room and generally familiarise yourself with the workings of your child’s classroom. We will start in the Hall by introducing the full team to you and then make our way (with the help of some of our senior students) over to the classrooms. 6-7pm will be an opportunity for everyone to picnic and mix and mingle outside on the school grounds.

MINI-BALL/BASKETBALL

All players welcome, both new and experienced, to join a RBS team to compete at the Leisure Centre, Stanmore Bay.

Years 0-2 Wednesday's, Year's 3-4 Thursday's and Years 5-6 Tuesdays. Games commence at 3.40pm.

Registration forms are available outside the resource room.

All forms and payments MUST be returned to the school office by 3pm this Wednesday 12^th February. Online payment of $40 can be made to the school account # 06 0405 0194659 00 Please put your child's full name and B/B as the reference (forms still need to be returned to the office by the above date).

Coronavirus - Message from Ministry Education

We are looking forward to welcoming all our students back on February 7th.

With the growing concerns around coronavirus, we have received the following notice from the Ministry of Education.

We would appreciate hearing from you if you have traveled to China over the holiday break.

"As you will have seen in the media the situation is rapidly evolving internationally concerning the coronavirus.

This is a new virus and its specific nature is currently unclear, however it appears that you can have the virus at an early stage and not be showing any symptoms. This incubation period is currently considered to be 14 days.

Children and young people are currently returning to classrooms. The health of students and staff is a priority for all. I encourage you to err on the side of caution and here are some steps you can take.

As always anyone who is unwell should not be at school or at their early learning service. If you have a particular concern about any child, student or staff member, please urge parents or the staff member to contact Healthline at 0800 611 116 or their GP for medical advice. Healthline has translators and interpreters available 24/7 in 150 languages and they do have Mandarin and Cantonese speaking staff available.
If a student still attends school while showing symptoms the Principal of a state school can preclude them if they believe on reasonable grounds they may have a communicable disease (Section 19 Education Act). The student has to stay away for the infectious period of the specific disease. For private schools, Section 19 of the Education Act does not apply. Principals can request that a student with an infectious disease or is suspected of having an infectious disease, does not attend.
You can request that a staff member with an infectious disease or is suspected of having an infectious disease, does not attend.
For any staff member or student who may be at high risk of exposure because they have recently been to China or have been in close contact with someone confirmed with the virus, I encourage you to ask that the staff member or parent/caregiver of the student delay the start of their school year for 14 days and voluntarily stay away.
