Yesterday was a chilly reminder that winter is here!
We are really looking forward to welcoming you along to our Matariki celebration tomorrow evening 5 - 6.30pm.
We are strongly encouraging people to be wearing their masks when not trying out the yummy soup that will be on offer out on the deck. A heartfelt thanks to all who have contributed ingredients for our soup and/or will be sending along bread rolls.
Last night the community Committee confirmed a number of dates in their fundraising calendar. We welcome Neicia Persson to the role of CC Chair. We have rescheduled our Movie night for early next term. More details will be announced this Thursday.
They are keen to hear from anyone willing to donate (or is connected to a business that would be willing to do so) goodies/vouchers for the Goody bags.
The team will be running a Quiz night in late October and is on the lookout for donations for this evening.
The team is keen to focus on raising funds for our school playground -something that will benefit all our students!
See you tomorrow night

Mathex
On Wednesday, 17 excited Year 4 to 6 students travelled to NorthCross Intermediate to compete in the Interschool Mathex competition. With four teams involved, Red Beach had the largest school contingent present.
All the teams performed excellently, with one team scoring 19/20 to achieve an exceptional 4th against some tough competition from several North Shore schools.
A special mention to that team's members: Justin Lu, Kaya Ozturk, Nicca Wu, and Roman Hoeft, who won an individual award for his RICH-hearted display as team runner.
A big thank you to the parents who gave up their morning to transport the students there and back through roadworks and torrential rain.
Congratulations to all the students involved. We are thrilled to have such a great group of mathematicians at Red Beach.
