All teachers and our older Year 3-6 students continue to post learning on Hero. Also, goals are continually updated for literacy and math. The day before Student-Led Conferences we will make available Hero effort and key competency indicators and show students curriculum level progressions in reading, writing, and number. On the 29th July at 6:30pm there will be a short webinar to go over what you will see on Hero. The link is below. This will also be recorded and put on the website.

Mathex

On Wednesday, 17 excited Year 4 to 6 students travelled to NorthCross Intermediate to compete in the Interschool Mathex competition. With four teams involved, Red Beach had the largest school contingent present.

All the teams performed excellently, with one team scoring 19/20 to achieve an exceptional 4th against some tough competition from several North Shore schools.

A special mention to that team's members: Justin Lu, Kaya Ozturk, Nicca Wu, and Roman Hoeft, who won an individual award for his RICH-hearted display as team runner.

A big thank you to the parents who gave up their morning to transport the students there and back through roadworks and torrential rain.

Congratulations to all the students involved. We are thrilled to have such a great group of mathematicians at Red Beach.
