COMING UP THIS TERM
YR 5/6 TAG FESTIVAL
Good luck to our four teams who will be taking part in the HBC Primary Schools TAG Festival at the Raiders Club Grounds, Stanmore Bay, next Thursday 14th November.
INTER-SCHOOL CROSS COUNTRY
Towards the end of last term, some of our Year 5 and 6 students competed in the Interschool Cross Country event at Shakespear Park. We competed against 15 other schools from across our district. It was a fantastic day with a mix of sunshine and the odd thundershower, making for an exciting challenge on a tough course.
Our tamariki put in an amazing effort, showing real manawanui (perseverance) as they tackled the demanding route. It was inspiring to see the level of community, with students cheering each other on and providing encouragement throughout the event.
A huge thank you to the parents who helped with transport- we really appreciate your help! We’re extremely proud of all the students for their mahi nui (hard work) and determination.
Special congratulations go to Sadie Taylor, Riley Barnes, and Harvey White, who each came third in their respective races—an outstanding achievement!
Our Year 5 and 6 girls’ relay teams also sped their way into third place in their races. Well done to Amelie Cummings, Esther Farmer and Sarah Trafford in Year 5 and Mila White, Sydney Schiltknecht and Eva Wilkins in Year 6.
Once again, well done to everyone who took part in this yearly event, and we look forward to seeing the same level of enthusiasm and teamwork next year!
SILVERDALE TOUCH RUGBY
Our Term 4 touch module got off to a great start last week at Silverdale Rugby Club with schools from all over the district coming together to demonstrate their skills.
Well done to our Year 1 boys team who showed some pretty fancy footwork for their first time on the field and managed to win against Silverdale.
The Year 3-4 team were incredible up against Orewa Primary School coming away with a 7-1 win and some very strong plays.
Our Year 5-6 boys team had a tough game versus Dairy Flat School but showed great perseverance chasing down every try and ending strong.
SPORTS UNIFORM
The Red Beach School unisex sports uniform is available for purchase through the school. Our RBS sports shirts are $40 and the sports shorts are $22. The sports shirt is compulsory for students involved in a Red Beach School sports team however, the sports shorts are optional. Both items are available through KINDO.
