INTER-SCHOOL HOCKEY
After Monday night downpours for most of the winter season, the sun came out for a great day of hockey down at Millwater for the Inter-school competition. The boys were in a very competitive pool and after warming up they got 3 wins under their belt. The girls B team played really strongly and ended in joint First Place with Kingsway B- even after some golden goal minutes, there was no splitting the two teams. The A team played so well together - great communication, passing and positive energy.They came out on top in the final with the rest of the RBS teams cheering their hearts out for them on the sidelines. Great job all!
Thanks to all the parents and coaches who helped, both on the day, and putting the teams and season together.
INTER-SCHOOL CROSS COUNTRY
Good luck to our team of 28 students who will be competing in the HBC Primary Schools Cross Country competition this Thursday at Te Haruhi Bay, Shakespear Park.
HOCKEY:
It has been a great season of Hockey with record numbers of players across the ages. Big thanks to the coaches and managers who helped make it such fun and promote great sportsmanship and developed hockey skills.
NETBALL
Well done to all our netball teams for representing RBS with pride over the last 16 weeks. And thank you to all our coaches, managers, parents/caregivers and supporters for being there coaching, assisting and cheering our teams on week after week.
By the end of the season, three RBS teams came out on top winning their grades at the HBC competition and receiving their cups at the Netball North Harbour prize-giving on Monday.
Yr 6 RBS PULSE
What an amazing season the RBS Pulse team has had. After winning tournaments throughout the season, they took on the top Kingsway team in the Yr 6 grand final and came away as comprehensive winners taking out the game 19 - 10. What an amazing achievement for these girls, the majority of whom have been playing together since Yr 3. Congratulations team. You have done RBS proud.
Yr 5 RBS SWIFTS
The RBS Swifts drew their last game of the season against Kingsway in the grand final for their grade. It was a nail biting game with it staying close throughout all four quarters.
Our Red Beach girls left it all out there and played their hearts out. This season they have demonstrated true team spirit and commitment. The draw has left them top of their grade, congratulations Swifts! We are proud of you girls!
Yr 4 RBS STEEL
The RBS Steel team kicked off a great netball season by winning the Mid-Season Tournament in the Yr 4 grade. They carried on their winning way throughout the rest of the winter netball season, taking out 1st place in the Yr 4 grand final. Congratulations RBS Steel.
Yr 4 RBS MYSTICS - with admiration from their coach .... a little brag about the RBS Mystics.
Not only were 4 out of our 9 newbies to netball but we had two year 3’s in our team and they all deserve praise. They showed up, played fairly and beautifully, focused on teamwork and fun, encouraged each other and went from probably near the bottom of the table to 3rd in our grade with 5 out of 7 wins - they are all amazing little netballers. So proud of you girls!

NETBALL SKIRTS
These need to be returned to Mrs Bluck in the resource room before the end of this term.
Please make sure they are returned in a clean condition in order to receive the bond back. Refund forms will be given to your child when they hand their skirt in.
All refunds will be via bank transfer, so please enter your bank details on the form so we are able to process this for you. Refund forms will need to be returned to the school office no later than FRIDAY 1st NOVEMBER please.
NETBALL SPRING LEAGUE - registrations close Wednesday 16th Oct

Date: Wednesdays from 23rd October to 27th November (6 weeks)
Who: Year 3 to Year 6
Teams for this module are not entered through the school.

RBS MINI-BALL/BASKETBALL TERM 4 - registrations close next Wednesday 25th Sept
All players are welcome to join a RBS team to compete at the Leisure Centre, Stanmore Bay. Games are played on Tuesday's Yr 5/6, Wednesday's Yr 0/1/2, Thursday's Yr 3/4 from 3.40pm - 7pm at The Leisure Centre starting in Week 1 Term 4 (Tues 15th, Wed 16th, Thurs 17th Oct).
The module runs for 9 weeks. Players must play at their own year level and attend RBS.

MINI-BALL/BASKETBALL - Superstar Required!
We require a volunteer to take over the role of our RBS mini-ball/basketball delegate for 2025. This role includes organising and registering RBS terms each term. Training with our current delegate will be available.

SPORTS UNIFORM
The Red Beach School unisex sports uniform is available for purchase through the school. Our RBS sports shirts are $40 and the sports shorts are $22. The sports shirt is compulsory for students involved in a Red Beach School sports team however, the sports shorts are optional. Both items are available through KINDO.
